Jobs stay in Tasmania as Spirit gets stronger with CareSuper

Tasmanians are big winners from the merger between Spirit Super and CareSuper with the same local award-winning member services team who currently look after Spirit Super members set to care for the more than 550,000 members of the merged fund.

That means local jobs are not only secured, but that the members will still be looked after by the fantastic team based here in Tasmania along with the funds additional service representatives Australia-wide.

With a significant portion of members of the merged fund being Tasmanians, existing Spirit Super members can look forward to being a critical part of a larger super fund. Alongside the member services team, three out of eight of the merged funds executive team are based in the State, along with many iconic local investments. Tasmanian workers and retirees are absolutely critical to the success of CareSuper.

While for some this is another name change for their local super fund, what isn’t changing is the high level of service and commitment to strong financial returns. CareSuper is a high performing, profit-to-member industry super fund, and from 1 November will be even stronger than ever.

In 2023 both Spirit Super and CareSuper were named in the top 10 performing funds over 10 years by the peak ratings agency SuperRatings. This year, both funds are finalists across a range of categories in the Super Review Annual Super Fund of the Year Awards.

CareSuper- a brand with a strong Industry Super heritage will remain the profit-to-member Fund now with a deep commitment to Tasmania. Together, the Fund will focus on continuing to bring outstanding value and service that the people of Tasmania are used to.
