TCCI through funding from the Tasmanian Government can support businesses with 20 or less employees to help with:

  • Ensuring compliance with the Fair Work Act
  • Developing, reviewing or implementing workplace policy and procedures
  • Measuring employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Understanding the benefits of a diverse workforce

This full day workshop combines Communicate with Influence and Respectful Workplace Behaviour workshops to provide participants with tools and knowledge to enhance respectful workplace communication. Participants will develop a strong understanding of how effective communication can potentially avoid conflict situations and foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. 


The workshop includes:

  • Active listening and using your voice effectively
  • Communication tips and techniques
  • Perceptions, prejudice and stereotypes
  • Communication styles
  • Having direct conversations
  • Giving good information 
  • Barriers to communication
  • Definition of bullying and other negative workplace behaviours


Learning Outcomes

By the completion of this course the participant will be able to:

  • Understand preferred communication methods
  • Know and understand causes of conflict and conflict resolution methods
  • More positively manage their own behaviour
  • Recognise and more confidently manage miscommunications in the workplace
  • Identify bullying behaviour
  • Address behaviour that can lead to bullying, harassment and discrimination

This course is suitable for any employee who is required to work as part of a team and for those employees who are regularly dealing with others.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

 
Occupational Licence holders including; Real Estate Professionals, Electricians, Builders, Gas fitters, Engineers, Architects and Permit Holders are required to maintain their skills and knowledge through ongoing learning, referred to as Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

TCCI can deliver CPD accredited training, and provide evidence to Consumer, Building and Occupation Services (CBOS) on your behalf. Why not register for one of our courses today.

TCCI has meeting rooms available for hire by members and non-members.

The Hobart meeting room has availability for up to 30 attendees in either theatre setup or 15 in boardroom or u-shape setup.

Facilities available include: AV facilities (data projector, screen) - please note this does not include wi-fi; electronic whiteboard; Digital polycom (teleconference facilities) - calls may be subject to additional cost; tea; coffee and filtered water and lectern.

Member - $200 half day - $260 full day

Non-member - $295 half day - $385 full day
